Lomo LCA was inspired by the Cosina CX-2 but as the Cosina CX-2's name implies it was made buy Cosina a Japanese company not Lomo. Aslo the Lomo LC-A went into mass production in 1984 not in the 1970's. Maybe a little bit of research is need when the DIGTAL SLR guru is going to write about something analog.

I have both an original LCA and a new LCA+RL and I would recommend the LCA. It has much higher build quality than the Chinese made offering from Lomography. That said, if you want to shoot with film speeds higher than 400, you have to use the new LCA+

izamelotov - both are great cameras. i'd go for the LC-A given a choice, purely because it is the original!
